Thu 14th March A few people have asked me what the 3rd advert for a bassplayer said, for it to have been removed from Gumtree. I thought it was lost forever, but managd to get a screen grab after all, so here it is if yer interested!! |
Thu 14th March It's so strange in this place, I'm having a ball today. There's a family of green chattering parrots living in the tree directly outside my window, and the courtyard is patrolled daily by he largest crow I've even seen, who stomps back & forth on the lawn out front in his size 12 boots keeping us safe from prowlers, and our ghosts undaunted by demons from beyond the dale. We've a load of live dates booked, and now it's just a case of getting the set together, exploring new song ideas & keepin' on amovin'. Here are the confirmed shows: March Wed 27th - Powers Bar, London April 5th - Crown & Treaty, Uxbridge 7th - Velouria, Powers Bar, London (with Dexter Strangeways) 10th - The Shed, Leicester 12th - The Railway, Winchester May 11th - Le Baraka Bar, Clermont, France 23rd - Niandra Lades & Garciaphone at Velouria Powers Bar II |
Wed 13th March Well well, there is a book on sale now, written by Joe Gardner, and it's no secret that the main characters are based on Joe, Jet Tea & myself.. which was all very exciting until the wonderful thing went on sale & now I'm a little nervous about what people will make of it all! Happy to say that I took the cover photo, after a solo show I played at the Cobden Club some years ago: It truly is one of the most refreshing, if somewhat daunting, books I've read in years, and aside from being a joy to read, it's also a little bit of an insight into what kindof things happened in those Uxbridge days. Joe has written a little about the novel HERE, where you can also find a link to buy the book. |
