MY LIFE THE TRAINWRECK

These two solo albums were originally conceived as one record with the above title, but after many years in progress they split into these two parts, the acoustic, songwriter folk of Bleach The Chameleon and it's electronic counterpart The Lizard The Lollipop.



THE LOVE RIVALS

8 Love Rivals was written when I was first arrived in Berlin at the start of 2008, before I'd even found a place to live. I was sleeping in people's hallways & found a temporary room in an artist's house near Eberswalder. I flew back to London to get my computer & a mic, and wrote this album there in a few weeks. It is the first part of lifelong project The Love Rival Collection, 36 character portraits celebrating the individual.

It's 2005. My band The Bed broke up, my girlfriend fucked off, and two of the greatest musicians ever to walk the dusty earth lived round the corner.



EARLY SOLO STUFF

I had learnt a little about recording from Jae in the England & The April years, and in the aftermath of that band I found myself alone at the piano. Made The Speed Of Sneeze & On A Monday before deciding to quit the land & head East to the continent. Lyrics to Am I There from The Speed Of Sneeze kindof predict this, "The next bus I'll be on."
