Sat 21st Jan 2012 I was looking to see if Ljiljana Petkovic had released anything since her Orchestra recorded Hinter dem Spiegel, which I've enjoyed so much since I stumbled upon it shorty after it's release in 2009, and found this one new-ish track. I'm only about a year late in sharing this with you, but enjoy regardless, it's fab! |

Thu 19th Jan 2012 Hmm well, at the risk of sounding repetitive, yesterday was mental. Jeeps show at the Wheelbarrow was a pretty great night, which aint surprising given the bunch of nutters in attendance, and the return of Jet Tea who is back home to roost & straight out for lunch. Andrew recorded some of it, I'll see if he can get a song from the show online tomorrow, probably an oldie though as I wanna save the new songs for when we can do 'em justice in the studio. Then it was a typical lose girl / find beer scenario for a spell & somehow I ended up in Chesham at 3am for the first time in almost a year, such a pleasure to be back here, I'm very nostalgic about this place already! Can't stick around though, gotta get my ass to Mars (Wimbledon) to fetch the acoustic guitar for rehearsal in Ruislip tomorrow for the amazing line-up of This Event. It's the album release party for William Nein on Saturday, where I'll be playing a few songs with him from his new record "No Heart's A Wasteland" (Available now - click the artwork) The next Jeeps show will be part of a Day Trip to Winchester on Fri 27th Jan where we'll be supporting the much-discussed FOE, here's what they sound like: I reckon that'll be an amazing night at the Railway Inn. Anything else? |
Wed 18th Jan 2012 I've been saying for a while now that every day has been more weird & ridiculous than the last, and I've long known that if this pattern stayed to course I'd wind up a hairs breadth from losing my bananas entirely. Well, on Monday evening, things reached fever pitch & I guess that's what happened - with no bananas in sight, I plunged into a 24hr delirium where liquid visions and no less intangible reality washed over each other, leaving me pinned down in awe & confusion until, suddenly this morning, they all fucked off. And though I feel like I've been in a coma for a week, I'm almost 100% now and all set to play the Wheelbarrow in Camden tonight with Jeeps.. what a life is life, come down if yer in London! x |
