Thu 12th Dec: It's gonna be a full-screen Panda Cam kinda day. And when she's asleep, there's always this Big Giant Stupid Monkey to be my friend. |
Wed 11th Dec: Booking full-band JEEPS shows for the new year, keep an eye on the newlook website at thebed.co.uk |
Mon 9th Dec: Some of you may know that I started the year with a violent 'accident' in Barcelona that left me hospitalized & useless for a few months at least. Well, I've been very kindly invited to spend Christmas in Morocco, which will be amazing as I've never been to Africa before, and it's actually cheaper for me to go via Spain, where I can catch a Bigott show & retrace some of those dance-steps that have been blocked from my memory since I regained consciousness in that hospital by the sea. I think it could be really healthy to re-visit the place with a calm outlook before the end of the year, maybe I'll find the rails I flew off so carelessly almost 12 months ago. What what what's this?! A Bigott video in the style of StreetFighter II?!?! |
Sun 8th Dec: Jae from England & The April recently worked on this amazing EP, highly recommended: |
Thu 5th Dec: Thought I'd better do a podcast to keep to the schedule but may as well not have done, it's a proper rubbish one! It's hard to know why people actually listen to these things, surely nobody wants to hear more 'we got drunk & pissed everybody off' stories. Will get some interviews lined up. Played a punk photo exhibition last night to a room full of photographers, we was crap but maybe there'll be a couple of decent pictures from it.. We interviewed Jason Trachtenburg on the previous show, and played a song called Lorimer, here's the official video: |

Mon 2nd Dec: As you probably know, my first band was called TheBed & we made music from around 1998-2005. There is very little online from this time for a number of reasons, one of which is that the (very) many video tapes of our performances were all destroyed in a bizarre gardening accident some time ago. Today, however, I managed to get my hands on a television appearance from 2001 where we played on a TV show called Where It's At, filmed live at the London Tocadero in Piccadilly Circus. I'll try to get that online tomorrow, in the meantime, here's an old recording from the same era, TheBed in 2001: |
