Thu 14th Aug There's a thing here now y'see. Our own band has been sans drummer for a while now, and therefore it's the acoustic scene we've been most associated with this past year or so, on this site and elsewhere. I would even suggest that perhaps, currently, most of our visitors come to explore singer/songwriter type acts, and while we absolutely love every single song we post, I'm not sure that the flow of the site works so well now that we're introducing a wider spectrum of music. Having said that, I want all the current news, music & events to remain on the front page so all you gotta do is come here to see exactly what's going on. Conundrum! Not so, 'cos we've redesigned the whole concept, retaining the simplicity, and in the next day or so you'll see a whole new Tea Tone ting right here. The brilliant Doe have confirmed to play the Tea Tone Party on Wed 27th, so that's shaping up to be a fine time, full line-up and event page soon m'dears -

Wed 13th Aug Crazy math-fuzz duo Molasses are playing their final show before a long break tonight at the lovely Old Queens Head in Angel (show's just been cancelled but check 'em out anyway!):

Wed 13th Aug Doe were flipping brilliant the other night, and the venue Power Lunches in Dalston was also fantastic with excellent sound & good atmosphere all round. It's a hard slog finding the life in this town but it's out there somewhere! Had a cancellation for the next Tea Tone Party but will get the event and line-up online soon as we've found a replacement. We've had our fair share of debauchery at the recent parties so fancy dress code will be Smart & Sophisticated or something along those lines.. that'll confuse people walking in off the street. Loving this new tune by David Goo's band the 150 Friends Club today:

Mon 11th Aug S'funny listening to a billion new bands in a row, I'm not finding much that I really like (as usual) - this is pretty great though!

No podcast for the month yet 'cos I'm still researching bands.. not much to shout about out there so far to be honest, but this fantastic track by Matagot stood out a mile, will post more quality tunes and before long we'll have another top line-up for the Tea Tone Party on Wed 27th:
