Sun 31st July 2011 Clearly didn't make it to Berlin for the weekend, ended up on the Snakey B's in the Crown & Treaty in Uxbridge instead, which is always a mistake. Without exception. Within an hour of being there I exchanged a few words with a guy at the bar I didn't know, and he said "You see, Glen, this is why nobody likes you." I find it pretty amazing that somebody I don't even recognise seems to be aware of such a fact! Cheers for the fuckin' advice, yeah: |
Thu 28th July 2011 Started the week living in Chesham, migrated back to Uxbridge midweek, and am struggling to find a way to Berlin for Saturday. Literally all over the place. Not looking likely that I'll be flying anywhere the way things are going financially (ever further down the toilet is an apt description), but it's been great to catch up with some peeps from the 'bridge & Uxpats. The fabulous Uxbridge band Colour Me Wednesday have a new video: |

Mon 25th July 2011 "My girlfriend asked me if I slept good, I said no, I made a few mistakes." London is no town to have an out-of-whack sleeping schedule. In Berlin, I can lie in bed (on a mattress, rather) for an hour or so, and if nothing happens (or if things continue to happen, rather), with nothing soporific to hand, I'll just get up & go grab a baguette & a coffee, or even hit some clubs & dance the overactive buzzwaves out through my limbs & into the disco ether. Here, at 5am, I can do little more than read, and read, and listen to old XFM broadcasts with Pilko, who also suffers from Restless Leg Syndrome.
