G: I learned a lot from filming a sex scene for that music video I've been talking about recently, and it was a lot of fun, though not in the way you might imagine! I knew that I wouldn't actually be fucking someone, but hadn't been told that even the kissing was meant to be 'screen kissing' - I was informed of that by the leading lady immediately after the first take.. she wasn't best pleased with the integrity of my performance, let's say.

They also neglected to warn me that loose-fitting boxers are far from ideal when it comes to spending hours on end lying on top of somebody and moving up & down to simulate intercourse. The cameraman kindly offered to swap pants with me, I politely declined.

Filming went on into the early hours of Saturday morning, so I missed my last train home from Watford (what a location!), but at least we had the hotel room booked so I could just sleep there. I was dressed in a smart suit for the role, so went out into the Watford weekend nightlife to see what I could find.. clearly a mistake, could've been a catastrophe. Called it quits round 4.

G: Played a show at The Hackney Star last night, beautiful space! Tom & Sam helped us get there & provided many laughs on route, thanks guys! Got my acting debut at a hotel in Watford tomorrow.. You heard this new band The Drink yet? Superb -

G: Playing at Power Lunches in Hackney/Dalston tonight, here's the EVENT. We've been playing a similar set for a while now because I've been focussing on writing material for Ellen Terry Court, but we'll be playing one of those songs this evening.. acoustically of course, but it'll give some idea of the direction.

G: I posted a link to an article on the Tea Tone Facebook page about Rob Crow from Pinback deciding to quit music, which is damn sad in all, but he's done some phenomenal work over the years that won't be going away anytime soon -
