Sun 22nd April 2012 Show in Berlin next Fri 27th will be an interesting one, gonna play electric guitar with two backing singers so we can get those 3 part harmonies across once & for all. Actually, Eddie is singing an increasing number of main vocals so we may need a new bandname.. not sure this (Various) JEEPS lineup thing is really sustainable! What else the fuck is going on. Usual battle to stay sober & off the rampage with moderately successful results; it's a once or twice a week habit now. Goin' back London in a few weeks, just booked flight, then Berlin for the summer with ole' drummerboots Kilo Riley but haven't booked any shows yet.. dunno why, I should really get on it. It's like 5am on Sunday and I'm not even sure if it's my morning or night 'cos I only napped & woke up at 8pm yesterday. Turned up at the Acud open mic last week & the host had cancelled, so there were these musicians milling about, staring into space & holding their guitars like lost ants returning to a colony that's been annihilated in their absence. I volunteered to run the evening & we all had a right banana, a bunch of Brazilian girls even had a bash at singing a native song, they sounded fuckin' atrocious but I loved every minute. If I ever settle somewhere, I'm gonna get me a clubnight, maybe even open a bar. That Jet Tea themed bar we talked about. |
Sat 21st April 2012 Last night I heard these words for the first time from a pretty young woman: "I've not had sex for 6 months but I saw you & immediately wanted to sleep with you, but then you opened your mouth & I changed my mind." Never thought things would (not) happen that way round, the world is turned upside down. |

Tue 17th April 2012 I've not done a lot of self-promotion the past ten years or so, but I've certainly relegated a lot of other people. I've stripped most ex's of ever having had relationship status and I've looked at friendships & demoted most of them to the more appropriate level of acquaintance. Other-person-relegation is immensely refreshing, I now look back & see only pretty things. Changing the past, a la fuck you. Easy. All my portable music players are fooked beyond repair, so I just bought a really dodgy mp3 player from the airport (I'm about to board for Berlin) and the USB connector is literally a bit of wire that I had to poke into my laptop at various angles until it miraculously appeared on my desktop. Sometimes I wonder if technology has got better or worse in my lifetime, but 4 gig of music portability for twenty quid aint for sneezing at. |
