The incident in Barcelona left me with many minor injuries, but the pain in my shoulder & back was the only thing I could feel, so I didn't even notice that I'd damaged my knees, for example, or the extent of the breaks in my thumb. Once again, we find this lesson, and much more, in Shakespeare:
Thou think'st 'tis much that this contentious storm
Invades us to the skin. So 'tis to thee.
But where the greater malady is fixed
The lesser is scarce felt. Thou'dst shun a bear,
But if thy flight lay toward the raging sea
Thou'dst meet the bear i' th' mouth. When the mind's free,
The body's delicate.
Two of the most useful things I've ever been blessed with, my arms, have not been fully functioning, and so my mind has started to pay more attention to other operative aspects of my life, and in particular their usefulness & practicality. And without the huge overshadowing by my own physical abilities, with regard to the fulfilment of my personal objectives, I'm starting to see very clearly what is aiding my purposes & what is obstructing them. And among a million other things, this blog isn't helping anyone:

Been looking into big bang business, 'cos it occurred to me that I don't even know who conceived the idea, and discovered that the Belgian priest responsible was also "The first person to propose the theory of the expansion of the Universe, widely misattributed to Edwin Hubble. He was also the first to derive what is now known as the Hubble's law and made the first estimation of what is now called the Hubble constant, which he published in 1927, two years before Hubble's article. His name is Georges Lemaitre, and he was the first to propose what became known as the Big Bang theory of the origin of the Universe, which he called his 'hypothesis of the primeval atom'."
It would appear that many ideas, actions & creations are credited to the wrong people in history, but does it really matter so long as their contribution has been felt, though mislabelled? Was the man or woman who wrote the plays attributed to a Mr William Shakespeare of Stratford upon Avon perhaps referring to their own knowingly miscredited works when penning the apparently innocent line:
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet

So Richard III really was a hunchback after all, my full-time thumb exercise schedule moves into a second painful week and Halton Arp's old theory of intrinsic redshift may have been on the money all along, as the big bang theory is potentially being disproved with nary a boson noticing:

I can't wait anymore, I gotta paint this place! I love inhabiting a bleak-looking space & re-decorating. When I first moved to the Prinzen Str room in Berlin, I transformed it through these stages and beyond:
Wish I'd taken more pictures now, I'd fallen in love with the place by the time I left, had a big ole' 80s stereo too, with separate analogue EQ that had little green lights & everything. Got it for THREE EURO in the Mauerpark market.
So, here's a couple pics I took the other day when I first moved into this old hospital space in Ealing. I've got big plans for this place, this is just one room. The last pic is to show my mostly healed face & the wonderful natural daylight!

Though she's still one of my favourite artists, and I'm well looking forward to the forthcoming album, I'm not entirely convinced by that new Laura Stevenson track down there. It just feels a little bit too self-consciously a single if you know what I mean. Wasn't blown away by new Widowspeak release either, though that might be 'cos the singer totally blew me off in Berlin to talk to my friend about her vintage dress instead.
